Amazing to see the numbers pick up in January.  Even oil is firmly under $100 per barrel.

Before I be remiss, as another Black History Month begins...

Let us briefly pause to remember the life of Don Cornelius--the creator and original host of "Soul Train", which gave many African-American musicians and artists a platform to perform their music and many other talented dancers in getting more than their groove on.

Peace, love, and SOULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL.  He will be missed.

Don was 75, but left behind a ton of cool memories as a true Chicago original when the show started on tiny WCIU, Channel 26 in 1970.  The show went national via sydnication in 1971 and lasted 35 years.  Cornelius left the show in 1993.  The rest, they say, is history.
