Historic week ends with stocks up for Friday, down for the week

The University of Michigan consumer survey was the worst since Vince Ferragamo nearly shocked the Steel Curtain during Super Bowl XIV.

That was in 1980.

My, how time has flown.

Fast forward at lightning speed to Friday's session--

At least the Dow finished up over 120 points, but the S&P finished way short of the magic 1,200 number.

Consistency was what I hoped for after Thursday's close and we got it.

What comes after this weekend in Europe, we will see.
