Only thing I can think of, being a past thinkorswim client, is that you need to make sure you have the latest Java installed on your mac, if it is the latest version, then you'll need to dump some temporary java files from java control panel. That usually cleared up the majority of my thinkorswim issues. Also, try running thinkorswim without prophet running, and see if that helps.
