From humble beginnings where I was raised in rural surroundings, with little to take for granted and much less to hope for, I have overcome many barriers to achieve unimaginable successes. My parents, who were fervent believers that education is the cornerstone of success, cheered me on when furthering my education. Graduating with an Honours designation at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Health Sciences, I learned the values of dedication and perseverance in my early adulthood. Working in several physiotherapy clinics, I found out that my ambitions in the business world was much stronger than in the medical world.
This began my journey and intrigue into the world of entrepreneurism and business altogether. I wanted to find out first from the “best of the best” in business; what drove them to succeed, what inspired them, I wanted to know everything they knew.
The first step was to educate myself. So I started to read a lot of book and listen to CD’s to educate myself, I was and still am a firm believer of “self-education”. This is where my personal development and self motivation started. I started reading books about business, management, personal development, leadership and everything to do with the world of business.
